Get answers to common questions about Lip and Chin.
Most clients enjoy smooth results for three to six weeks, depending on individual hair growth cycles and hormones. Regular appointments can extend the time between services as hair grows back finer and sparser.
You may feel brief discomfort as hair is removed, but our estheticians use calming techniques and quality wax to reduce pain. Numbing creams can be recommended if you are especially sensitive.
Avoid exfoliating or retinoids 48 hours before the appointment. Ensure hair is about quarter-inch long, clean, and free of lotions or oils to help the wax adhere and reduce irritation.
Ideally hair should be about one-quarter inch long, roughly the size of a grain of rice. Much shorter hair may be missed, while longer hair can increase discomfort during waxing.
Waxing can sometimes lead to ingrown hairs, especially if hair breaks instead of removing the root. Regular exfoliation, proper aftercare, and professional technique reduce risks and help prevent ingrown hairs.
Avoid heavy makeup, hot showers, and sun exposure for 24 hours. Use a soothing aloe or antibacterial lotion as recommended, and exfoliate gently after 48 to 72 hours to prevent ingrown hairs.
