Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Underarms.

Most underarm waxing sessions take about 10–20 minutes from start to finish, including cleansing, waxing, and quick aftercare guidance. Exact time depends on hair amount and whether you add other areas or treatments during your appointment.

Arrive with clean, deodorant-free underarms and about 1/4-inch hair length for effective gripping. Gently exfoliate 24–48 hours beforehand, avoid sunburn or harsh products, and wear loose clothing post-treatment to reduce irritation and aid healing.

Some redness or sensitivity is normal for 24–48 hours, but proper aftercare minimizes issues. We use soothing products and recommend exfoliation a few days later to prevent ingrown hairs. If you have severe reactions, contact us for guidance and possible patch testing.

Results typically last three to six weeks, depending on individual hair growth cycles, hormones, and prior hair removal habits. With regular waxing, regrowth often becomes finer and sparser, which can extend intervals between visits over time.

Avoid shaving for at least two weeks so hair reaches the ideal 1/4-inch length. Do not apply deodorant or heavy lotions on the day of service, as they interfere with wax adhesion and can increase irritation. Clean, dry skin is best.

Underarm waxing is safe for most skin types, including sensitive skin, when performed by experienced professionals using appropriate waxes. We perform consultations for allergies, medications, or skin conditions and can recommend alternatives if waxing isn’t suitable for you.
